Undither is an e-book that talks about children’s issues in the world’s largest democracies: India and the U.S.
It began as a contemplative penning of interactions with underprivileged children in Delhi. A few years later, during the design process, Associated Press photographs of children in the U.S. were included to represent parallel issues in both countries. Universal developmental issues, such substance abuse, migration, and child labor, emerged from the juxtaposition of visuals of American life and text from India. This critique is full of insights that include quotes from the children, observations from the author, and in places where relevant, policy decisions and government action.
