The appeal letter used a combination of graphics and text to draw attention to the lost childhood of an 11-year-old sex slave.
A firsthand account of the Love146 co-founder’s meetings with an 11-year-old girl shares the child’s story: how she was raped by two men, and how her life was turned around after coming to a Love146 safe house. What followed was a spirited illustration of a hopeful future, using colors commonly used to represent a dreamy and fun-filled childhood. The somber tone of the letter made for a strong contrast with the visual.
